At many study abroad sites International Education Programs utilizes full-time resident directors, while JU faculty and/or local university administrators are available to assist students at other programs.
Students will have the opportunity to receive up to two hours of tutorial assistance for language courses daily on most programs.
Cultural excursions are set up for many programs. Transportation and entrance fees for these excursions are included in the program price, although some meals are not included. Optional non-academic excursions may be available on some programs.
Most hotel accommodations on International Education Programs excursions are included in the program price.
Depending on the location room and board will vary. In some programs homestays are available. Students will receive at least 2 meals a day plus laundry (some programs will accommodate students with 3 meals per day). In other programs residence halls or apartments will be available. Most residence halls include meal plans whereas apartments are typically self-catered.
Transportation is provided from the designated airport to the university site on designated dates on some programs. Return transportation to the airport is provided for those students who return on the final day of the program. Students are responsible for daily public transportation costs. Students are responsible for their own transportation to the university site on some programs.
Medical insurance is provided for the official period of the program. Medical insurance extensions are also available for an additional cost.
This I.D. allows students to receive various discounts on transportation and entrance fees to events, museums and other tourist sites.
For an additional $10 per week, students (under 26 years of age) can purchase insurance for traveling after their programs end.
